Essential Japanese study tool. Works fine on iOS 10.
TL;DR: The most recent version of this app works fine on iOS 10.
While I still hope the developers plan a big upgrade to this app in the near future, my biggest concern was that it would no longer work correctly on iOS 10. I upgraded to 10.0.2 and so far so good.
For my review of the app itself, I must say that this is by far the most useful tool that I use in my Japanese language study. I rely heavily on the ability to create and study list of words and characters. And the text entry method for drawing characters is a great tool for looking up new characters (even though it’s imperfect). If you are self-motivated and committed to working on the language a little bit every day, then this app will be a great companion to you.
Lastly, the backup method for the app creates a file that you can email to another device. It contains all of your lists and notes and importing is as easy as clicking on the attachment. This is a cool low-tech solution. Even if a future version of this app includes cloud sync, I hope they keep this email backup feature.
Big thanks to the team that designed and built this app.
